The town is seeking bids for trash and recyclable collection in town.
The council voted to seek bids at its regular meeting Tuesday at town hall.
Currently, the town utilizes Willimantic Waste Paper Co. to handle trash and recyclable pick-up for those in the Willimantic Service District and in the Windhams.

Despite the prospect of reduced state aid, area town officials said Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s proposed budget was actually a positive for local municipalities when considering the economy.
“Given the bad economic conditions, it’s not that bad of a hit,” Coventry Town Manager John Elsesser said.
