Windham High School will host current eighth-graders and their families for its annual orientation night Thursday, Jan. 7.
The event will last from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and it will allow incoming freshman a sneak peak at the high school.

The Colectivo Mestizal, the nonprofit organization sponsoring the toy giveaway at the annual Three Kings Day celebration, is in dire need of donations for the children.

The Interdistrict Magnet School Building Committee in charge of the $40 million, environmental-theme magnet school has selected a construction manager for the school.
Skanska USA Builders Inc. was selected by the building committee, after the committee received 14 responses from building firms. Skanska’s bid was slightly more than $1.9 million.
