Parade to light up Main Street

After digesting Thursday’s Thanksgiving meal or taking a nap after Black Friday shopping, local residents can enjoy the start of the holiday season with two events this weekend.
The Fire Truck Holiday Light Parade takes place on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Willimantic - rain or shine.

Historians ready to serve town

After being vacant for six years, former Windham First Selectman Jean de Smet appointed two co-town historians to preserve and share their knowledge about the town.
William McMunn, chairman of the Windham Center Historic District Commission, will specialize in the history of the Windham Villages (Windham Center, North Windham and South Windham).
