After taking the oath of office to serve as Windham’s highest elected official, Mayor Ernest Eldridge presided over his first meeting of the new town council.
In a lightly publicized swearing-in ceremony at 6 p.m., Eldridge was sworn in as Windham’s first mayor and then conducted the 7 p.m. meeting of the town council.
